GSSSB Work Assistant Bharti 2026
A total of 336 posts are notified across various offices of the Roads & Buildings Department including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, and other districts.

Work Assistant Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
(I) a Diploma in Civil Engineering obtained from Technical Examination Board or any of the Universities or Institutions established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognised as such or declared as deemed to be a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; OR posses an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government: Provided that the candidate holding Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering shall not be eligible to apply. (II) The Basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967: and (III) adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Age Limit (As on 30 January 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 33 Years
- Age Relaxation as per rules.
Salary
- Fixed Pay: ₹26,000 per month (for first 5 years)
- After completion of 5 years (subject to satisfactory service)
- Pay Level-4: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100 (7th Pay Commission)

Duration: 3 Hours
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer
