ISRO Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

According to the official notification, ISRO has announced 222 vacancies distributed across multiple administrative posts.

Vacancy Distribution

  • Assistant – 113 Posts
  • Junior Personal Assistant (JPA) – 81 Posts
  • Upper Division Clerk (UDC) – 22 Posts
  • Stenographer – 10 Posts
  • Assistant (Autonomous Institutions) – 17 Posts
  • Junior Personal Assistant (Autonomous Institutions) – 1 Post

These vacancies are available across various ISRO centres including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Sriharikota, Thiruvananthapuram, Mahendragiri, Hassan, New Delhi and other locations.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the required educational qualification from a recognised university or institution.

Assistant / Upper Division Clerk

  • Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.32/10
  • Computer proficiency is mandatory

Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer

Applicants should possess:

  • Graduation with minimum 60% marks

OR

  • Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with minimum 60% marks

Additionally,

  • One year experience as Steno Typist/Stenographer
  • English Stenography speed of 60 WPM
  • Computer proficiency

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is:

  • General/EWS – 28 Years
  • OBC – 31 Years
  • SC/ST – 33 Years

The age will be calculated as on 16 August 2026. Age relaxation for PwBD candidates, Government employees, Ex-servicemen, widows, divorced women, and meritorious sportspersons will be applicable as per Government of India rule.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive salary under Pay Matrix Level-4 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Approximate salary includes:

  • Medical Benefits
  • Leave Travel Concession

The gross monthly salary may range between ₹40,000 and ₹60,000, depending on the posting location and applicable allowances.

Application Fee

The official notification prescribes the following fee structure:

  • Processing Fee: ₹500
  • Application Fee: ₹100

Women, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-servicemen are eligible for a full refund of the processing fee if they appear in the examination. Other candidates receive a refund after deduction of the ₹100 application fee, subject to appearing for the written test.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of the following stages:
